Our goal was to double up on old foundation speed when we bred Surprise Pac
to Leo Hancock Hayes. Their pedigrees are stacked from top to bottom with
some of the greatest quarter sprinters and racing producers in American Quarter
Horse history. Sugaree Bars AAA AQHA Champion is also the dam of Pa Jones
(by Jet Deck) a leading barrel horse sire.
Red Man and Blue Valentine were both known to have excellent dispositions.
Leo Hancock Hayes was one of the most kind hearted sons of Blue Valentine
and passed his people-loving temperament to his get.
John Coffee Hayes is a pleasure to handle and loves a good scratch. He has
a very calm, cool and collected way about him.

John is a true blue roan with no white markings. He has been color tested
by the University of California, Davis and is homozygous black (EE). He will
never sire a red foal.
This test now includes a test for the agouti (bay) gene and John is (aa)
which means he is a true black based roan. He does not have and cannot pass
on the bay gene.
